Founded by Joseph Janssen Sr. in the fall of 1952, Janssen’s has become an institution in our community. We offer the finest foods and superb customer service, with the highest attention to detail in everything we do.
Janssen’s Market has been a Greenville landmark for 60 years thanks to the

  • Special deep discount sale (including some items for 60 cents!).
  • Kick-off of our Meals on Wheels holiday donation drive – donate at the register.
  • WSTW will be here on 10/26 broadcasting from 12-2pm.
  • Roger Morris will be signing his book: Brandywine Book of Food on Wednesday, 10/24.
  • Twin Lakes will join us for Beer & Cheese tasting on Friday, 10/26 from 4-7pm
  • Dana Hebert – the Next Great Baker will be here on Friday, 10/26 to sample his delicious pastries and will sign his cookbook.
  • Our friends at Frank’s Wine & Spirits have chosen wines to pair with the food at every tasting station at our Holiday Tasting on Saturday 10/27
  • Boar’s Head will be selling hot dogs for $1 on Monday, 10/22 with all proceeds going to STEHM (www.stehm.org) Since 1986, Supportive Transitional and Emergency Housing Ministry (STEHM) has been servicing the Wilmington, Delaware area by offering two housing solutions for individuals requiring shelter in an emergency situation or on a temporary basis.
